The Feature Competition is a competition section for animated films with a running time of over 30 minutes. The Grand Prix will be determined by audience vote. For HAS 2026, five films have been selected for the competition, and all five will have their Japanese premiere at the festival. This program presents A Mighty Adventure.
Three little insects ( grasshopper, spider and butterfly) are transported to a concrete city. Ａ series of extraordinary micro-adventures forces them to explore themselves and helps to build their self-esteem, so they can finally get back home. They become much stronger and happier, are able to choose their own future.
Graduated from Hong Kong Baptist University with a degree in Film Studies, majoring in Film. Previously worked as a screenwriter for TV and comics, then switched to work in film special effects, computer animation, and novel writing. In 2001, completed his first animated feature film “My Life as McDull”, which won the highest honor "Best Film Award " at the 2003 Annecy International Animated Film Festival in France. His latest work is the upcoming animated film “ A Mighty Adventure”.
