The Feature Competition is a competition section for animated films with a running time of over 30 minutes. The Grand Prix will be determined by audience vote. For HAS 2026, five films have been selected for the competition, and all five will have their Japanese premiere at the festival. This program presents The Golden Man.

Turdybek Maidan is a Kazakh film director and filmmaker. His work focuses on socially relevant themes, often exploring human relationships and contemporary issues in Kazakhstan. He has been involved in several film projects and continues to develop his voice within the national cinema landscape.
Tilek Toleugazy is a Kazakh director and filmmaker known for his interest in character-driven stories and realistic storytelling. His films often reflect everyday life and cultural identity, contributing to the development of modern Kazakh cinema.
